Wine is at the heart of everything we do here at Gladwell’s. So much so, that we converted our former bank vault into a wine cellar and tasting room, that houses hundreds of wines from our favorite winemakers.

Our friends at St. John work directly and intimately with various winemakers and vignerons across France to ensure the quality of the fruit and wines are always to a high standard and also representative of the region. The St John Christmas case is the perfect gift for friends or family who love wine. We’ve carefully curated an incredible case of six bottles, to enjoy this festive season. What are we drinking?

St John - Blanc de Blanc Champagne – Champagne, France
Chardonnay
This is a superb Blanc des Blancs example which is lighter and finer than most others due to the use of only Chardonnay grapes taken from top rated Premier Cru vineyards sites.

St John – Cremant – Languedoc, France  
Chardonnay, Chenin & Mauzac
St. John’s worked carefully with Françoise ANtech and her team to create a sparkling that is fresh, generous and very easy to drink without being confected or harsh.

St John - Macon Villages – Burgundy, France
Chardonnay
Quite restrained on the nose with ripe yellow fruit and some white peach aromatics first off in the glass, a certain richesse balanced against good acidity.

St John - Bourgogne Blanc – Burgundy, France
Chardonnay
This wine is pale gold in the glass, with smooth citrus aromas and well-integrated minerality. It has a pleasant richness and a lovely buttery texture.

St John - Claret – Bordeaux, France
Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Many Bordeaux Superieur can be too oaky, this is simultaneously ripe and fresh with dark fruits, excellent persistence and length – A great dinner wine.

St John - Bourgogne Rouge - Burgundy, France
Pinot Noir
Scents of violet mixed with intense aromas of ripe black cherries and spices. Complex and well-structured with very pure fruit, a deep and tight texture and elegant tannins.
